Philippe Vanhille joined Rochambeau in 2015 as Academic Director / Deputy Head of School, bringing 25 years of professional experience in teaching positions, educational consultant and Director at French and International educational institutions in Europe and the States States.
His expertise is in the fields of bilingual and multicultural, school management structures and training.
Philippe graduated from the faculty of the Sorbonne and IUFM in Creteil, France.
Frédéric Tavernier joined our school in 2015.
With a double French diploma from Lille University and the IUFM in Arras, his teaching experience at the Elementary level is very rich, having taught in France, Africa and Australia.
As a Director, he has focused on opening up his schools, and presenting students and their parents with creative and original initiatives.
Keenly aware of the fact that children are both our treasure and our future, Frederic's mission is to develop a school where your child can grow, learn and thrive.
Yvan joins us from the French Immersion School of Washington, located just outside of Seattle (in the “other Washington”), where he spent the last eleven years. Prior to coming to the United States, Yvan was the head of school in an elementary school near Lyon, France, and has a combined 23 years of elementary education experience in both countries.
As an educator, Yvan is passionate about continually learning about the latest research and evidence-based practices in the fields of neuroscience and character education.
As a leader, he values respect, trust, proactive communication, and teamwork.
In his free time, he enjoys reading, watching basketball games, and spending time with his wife and daughter.
Frédérique Le Ber - Casanova
Frédérique Le Ber - Casanova has served as Director of the Secondary School since September 2014. Ms. Le Ber began her career as a teacher of History and Geography in Perpignan and Paris, France, going on to be an instructor at the Centre of Tourism, Hospitality and Catering (Centhor) ICC of Reunion Island. She arrived in the United States in 1999 and then in 2003 joined the Rochambeau faculty of the middle and high school. She is proud to continue to serve the Rochambeau community and to share her expertise in teaching. Mrs. Le Ber is dedicated to continuing to create the top-quality learning environment that Rochambeau is known for and to continue the implementation of ambitious projects benefiting our students.
